Are you, like, even good?

What an…interesting question.

Ultimately, I can’t decide that for you…but yes

Let me tell you why we are like, pretty good

We have to go back a few years for me to start to explain why. At six, I made my first perfume. It wasn’t great, but for only having flowers and water at my disposal, it was a perfect first try.

If you move the timeline forward twenty-ish years, I’m one of the leading gin experts in the US. My speciality is recipe development, working with botanicals and turning them into a sum that is greater than their parts.

Gin=botanicals

Perfume=botanicals

Gin, of course, contains juniper and other botanicals, and alcohol and water. That’s it, really. Perfume CAN include synthetic chemicals, but it doesn’t have to. Perfume at Duality contains just essential oils, natural isolates (an ingredient that is from a natural source but, like the name suggests, is isolated from it’s friends and in its pure form) and alcohol and water. Gin=perfume?

Not quite…but we aren’t far off.

So, like, my background in gin allowed for the perfect foray into perfume. I’ve spent the last five years exploring their commonalities and differences. I’ve made perfume after perfume, accord after accord, in the pursuit of both science and art. The first release of Duality is something special. Icon Slayer is a vanilla heavy white flower and Forest Disco is a shimmering woods. Together they are what you let them become. Layering perfumes is hard, but magical when done right.

These releases are coming soon, and hopefully you will, like, like them.
